BGYO drops nostalgic and picturesque music video for ‘Kundiman’
Rising Filipino boy group BGYO has released the music video for their track ‘Kundiman’ from their debut album ‘The Light’.
Set in a traditional old house with vintage feels, the 5-member group took a trip to the 70s adding a modern touch to their nostalgic and visually-pleasing music video.
“Cited from Hollywood legends, French pompadours, and Filipino sartorial icons of classic cinema; take a trip to 1970s ideals of masculine dressing all the way to modern preppy menswear. Had fun shooting this MV,” said BGYO’s visual director Danyl Geneciran in a tweet.
According to Danyl, the members wore creations by famous Filipino fashion designers Francis Libiran and Rajo Laurel, and luxury fashion brand Orias.
Penned by Akira Morishita with additional lyrics from Jerwin Nicomedez, ‘Kundiman’ is a romantic R&B track mixed with modern interpretation of the traditional Filipino love song.
