ALAMAT went back to the Lunch Out Loud stage to perform their latest single for the first time on national television.
The diverse Filipino boy group comprised of Taneo, Mo, Tomas, R-ji, Alas and Jao brought their positive energy by carrying out a feel-good performance of ‘ABKD’ in the noontime variety show.
Right after their performance, they introduced their group and promoted their latest single with Jao explaining the meaning behind the song.
“ABKD, just like the title itself, it’s something basic that you learn in life. Primary, it’s basic, but you can use it for the rest of your life,” he said.
Released in February, ‘ABKD’ is a pop track with hip-hop vibe, filled with uplifting verses made more endearing with ALAMAT’s unique R&B tunes and inclusive language heard in each member’s respective language.
The music video for the song features the journey of a young aeta in defying discrimination, highlighting representation of the indigenous group.
