6 special moments from SB19’s ‘WYAT’ kick off concert in Manila

SB19 marked the arrival of their newest single ‘WYAT’ with a tour, kicking off a sold-out show at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Saturday, September 17. In the coming months, the tour extends globally, promising one-of-a-kind shows in Dubai, New York, Los Angeles, and Singapore.

From the exclusive performances, exciting setlist, to the different surprises in the show, here are some of the special moments during the WYAT kick off concert in Manila.

First live performance of ‘WYAT’ in front of a jam-packed crowd

Apart from singing their hit songs ‘Go Up,’ ‘What?,’ ‘Bazinga,’ and ‘Mapa’ among others, SB19 staged a performance of their disco-pop track ‘WYAT’ for the first time in front of a jam-packed crowd composed of their supporters, collectively known as A’TIN.

Released earlier this month, ‘WYAT,’ short for Where You At, is a song that chronicles the reconnection of a bond after a very challenging phase in life. It was produced by SB19’s very own Pablo, along with his real-life brother Josue. The song was initially performed by the group during their sold-out online concert Our Zone last year, and was re-recorded, marking their first official release after being on a hiatus since launching their 2021 EP, Pagsibol.

A sizzling hot sing-and-dance cover of Charlie Puth’s ‘Attention’

There is no doubt that SB19 is well-known for their charisma onstage, matched with their colorful vocals. A’TIN was in for another treat when Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin surprised them with a sizzling hot sing-and-dance performance of Charlie Puth’s ‘Attention.’ Check out the short clip below, but be sure to prepare your eardrums…

A’TIN’s surprise fan project for SB19

A’TIN is one of the most passionate Filipino fan groups out there. From helping SB19 get to different local and international charts and awards shows, to organizing donation drives for a good cause, the fandom has proven its solid support to the boys.

Surprising the members of SB19, their fan group organized a mission called ‘Project Mundo’ which included send-off video messages from A’TIN across the world.

The fan effort, which was played during the ‘WYAT’ kick off concert definitely put a smile on the faces of SB19.

A nostalgic performance of Michael Pangilinan’s ‘Bakit Ba Ikaw’

For the first time in three years, the boys brought back a nostalgic moment by singing Michael Pangilinan’s ‘Bakit Ba Ikaw.’ The group previously received praises for their vocals when they first sang their own rendition of the song at MYX Live! back in 2019.

An exclusive performance of ‘Love Yours’ with Ohwon Lee

Ohwon Lee has appeared as a surprise guest in the show, performing his co-produced hip-hop rap track ‘Love Yours’ with SB19. Lee has also previously worked with the boy group for their viral track ‘Go Up.’

A special performance of their unreleased song ‘Nyebe’

The WYAT kick off concert was a night full of surprises. One of the best vocal performances during the show was SB19’s soulful and emotional rendition of their gospel-type song ‘Nyebe.’

The song, although unreleased, is already a familiar one for A’TIN as it was initially sung by the group during their Our Zone anniversary concert last year.

A lot more can be expected from SB19’s WYAT Tour. Catch the group in Cebu on October 1, Clark Pampanga on October 8, and Davao on October 15. SB19 will also bring the tour in Dubai on October 29 and will start visiting other foreign countries by November.
