Earlier this month, social entertainment app Kumu released a statement with regards to the new direction of the ‘Top Class 5,’ the product of P-pop talent reality competition ‘Top Class: Rise To P-Pop Stardom,’ co-produced by TV5, Cignal Entertainment, and Cornerstone Entertainment.

“Unfortunately, Top Class winners Jeff Cabrera and Jascel Valencia will be exiting the group due to personal reasons,” says Kumu in addition to announcing continuous management of the remaining members of the group without Cornerstone Entertainment.

On November 14, Kumu unveiled ‘YAMA’ as the name of its newest 7-member P-pop group. It will include Top Class Winners Gilly, Lex, and Dean, along with 4 new members.

In a series of social media posts, the additional members were revealed to be Clyde, Gab, Rave, and Joshuel.

In the group’s scheduler, several training and rehearsals are lined up for streaming in the Kumu channel of YAMA.

Although the official debut date has yet to be announced, Kumu says it is “optimistic and excited” to launch the group in the coming months.
