KAIA is a Filipino girl group under ShowBT Philippines consists of Charice, Angela, Alexa, Sophia, and Charlotte. On December 10, 2021, the group’s pre-debut single, “Kaya,” was released. On April 8, 2022, the group made its formal debut with the song “Blah Blah.” The word “kinaiya” in Cebuano, which indicates a person’s inner character and individuality, served as the inspiration for the group’s name. Also, the group name has the Filipino pronunciation “kaya,” which denotes potential and a spirit of perseverance in the pursuit of goals. KAIA was also a part of the historic 2022 PPOPCON which many of the P-Pop acts participated to showcase their talents.
