ALAMAT gets inspiration from Chavacano folk dance and Michael Jackson in ‘porque’ music video

ALAMAT has released their latest single ‘porque’ along with a heritage-filled music video.

The eight-member group stays consistent to its commitment in offering a touch of the Filipino culture on their releases.

In a tweet, ALAMAT shared that the choreography in the chorus and post-chorus parts of the song includes inspiration from the Chavacano de Zamboanga folk dance, besides Michael Jackson.

In addition, the group used a woven cloth by the Yakans of Zamboanga and Basilan called “Tennun” in their costume.
