Triumph over Unseen Chains: Josh Cullen holds Lost and Found Album Concert

Liberating himself from the “chains” of life’s struggles, whether as an artist or out of the limelight, Josh Cullen shared his story through music and passion in the “Lost and Found” Album Concert last Saturday at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City.  

Prior the festivity, a showcase of items reminiscent of his songs in the seven-track full length album were seen around the venue. Attendees were also welcomed with a street style concept, full of graffiti signages and scaffoldings on the main stage. 

Opening acts Letters from June charmed the crowd with their renditions of ‘Sining’, ‘Lowkey’ and their own song ‘Nasan Ka Na?’.Five member PPOP girl group KAIA flaunted their versatility with their power dance moves for ‘You Did It’ and their soothing voices for ‘Dalawa’. They also promoted their recently released song,’Walang Biruan’.  

After a cinematic VTR with the seemingly tongue-tied artist, Josh got no holds barred with his back to back performances of ‘Get Right’, ‘1999’, ‘Sofa’, ‘Pakiusap Lang’ and ‘Sumaya’. Sharing the stage with him were fellow artists Karl Guerrero for ‘Takbuhan’ and Alamat Member Mo for ‘Lights Out.’  

Fans, whom he calls BBQs and A’TIN, were awestruck when SB19’s Leader and co-member Pablo surprisingly performed ‘Gento’ and ‘Crimzone’. The duo also performed ‘Butata’ and later on, Pablo went solo for ‘Drowning in the Water.’ The strong bond of the PPOP super group was evident, as fellow members Stell and Justin also showered Josh with support messages through a recording, while Ken was also spotted watching within the audience.

Lamenting on his losses, regrets and learnings, Josh tearfully sang ‘Silent Cries’, ‘Honest’ and ‘See me’. He also went bare with heartfelt statements of how he almost gave up, if it weren’t for his fans and loved ones, whom he claimed as his strength, inspiration and savior. 

Josh happily wrapped up the event with ‘No Control’, ‘Wild Tonight’ and a rock version of ‘1999’, with a promise of showing more of his unceasing self, given his newly found freedom.
