10 Filipino acts and 6 South Korean artists gathered together in one stage on Friday, October 21, for the “POPSTIVAL 2022” held at SMDC Festival Grounds in Parañaque City.

A first of its kind with the tagline “K-pop meets P-pop,” the music festival featured the P-pop frontrunners SB19, BINI, Alamat, and soloist Felip.

During the event, BINI, dubbed as “the nation’s Girl Group,” sang ‘I Feel Good, ‘Strings,’ and ‘No Fear’ from their sophomore album ‘Feel Good’. Meanwhile, P-pop soloist Felip staged his first-ever live performance in front of a big crowd during the music festival, showcasing his oozing charisma while performing his solo songs ‘Palayo’ and ‘Bulan’ plus an unreleased song.

In addition to the lineup of Filipino acts, Press Hit Play, VXON, KAIA, G22, and Calista also graced the event. Concluding the show, P-pop Kings SB19 gave jaw-dropping performances of ‘WYAT,’ ‘Mana,’ ‘Mapa,’ and ‘Bazinga.’

Representing South Korea, K-pop artists LOONA, Park Bom, Be’O, Hyolyn, Brave Girls, and VIVIZ flew all the way to meet and perform for their Filipino fans.

In a tweet, Hyolyn, a soloist and former member of South Korean group SISTAR, thanked her Filipino ‘BAE‘ for supporting her during the event.

Prior to the main show, fun and exciting activities were initiated such as random play dance and impersonation contest. In addition to that, several buskers performed in a pre-show and fan booths along with a wide selection of food and merch vendors were offered as well.

Presented by Neuwave Events & Productions, POPSTIVAL 2022, hosted by Ryan Bang and Sean Ortega and directed by Nico Faustino, ended on a high note despite the last-minute lineup changes and a bit of delay caused by heavy rainfall.
