BGYO’s ‘Magnet’ is finally here to attract you

Filipino boy group BGYO returned with their latest single ‘Magnet’ on Thursday, October 20, accompanied by a music video which premiered on their official YouTube channel.
The music video, directed by Karlo Calingao, features the members – Mikki, Gelo, Nate, Akira, and JL inside a dark enclosed space, with clips showcasing their intense dance routine choreographed by Brian Puspos.
In a quick chat with singer-songwriter John Michael Conchada who wrote ‘Magnet,’ he shared that the idea first came out upon seeing his mother’s magnet collection on their fridge in their kitchen area, shortly after receiving the track from Jumbo De Belen, his head producer at FlipMusic.
According to Conchada, seeing the magnet collection sparked the idea of relating the song to an emotion or feeling, basically to attract. “Just like love, you are always attracted to that person,” he adds.
‘Magnet’ is the lead single from BGYO’s upcoming sophomore album ‘BE:US’ which is scheduled for release on November 3, at 6PM PHT.
