Merlion Entertainment announced on Monday that its upcoming Filipino boy group ECLIPSE will drop a single titled ‘Yan Ang Pinoy’.
Set for release on June 23, ‘Yan Ang Pinoy’ will be the first official release of ECLIPSE after leaving Kumu and joining Merlion Entertainment earlier this year.
In line with the announcement, a pre-save link for the soon-to-be-released single was attached, where the fans noticed the promotional photo for the song with only five members – Dean, Clyde, Gab, Rave, and Joshuel, of the seven original members of the upcoming group.
Fans were quick to notice, making them rally on social media to voice out their concern to Merlion Entertainment, the management label of ECLIPSE, wondering what could have happened with the other two members, Lex and Gilly.
“Where are the other two members? You signed them with your label with the promise of debuting them as a seven-member group,” a fan commented.
“I was seriously hoping you gave us a clear explanation why Gilly and Lex are missing. You cannot blame us for overthinking. We were patiently waiting for the seven members,” another one wrote.
Meanwhile, Gilly posted a tweet following the concern of of their fans.
“Nakikita ko lahat ng mga messages niyo. (I can see all of your messages) ‘di man ako nakapag-reply, pero thank you sa comfort (I may not be able to respond, but thank you for the comfort),” he Tweeted.
Merlion Entertainment has yet to address this issue involving ECLIPSE.
