Filipino singer-songwriter KZ Tandingan has delighted fans with the release of her latest single, ‘Dito Ka Lang,’ on June 23. The upbeat pop romantic track, written by KZ herself, is a heartfelt dedication to her husband, TJ Monterde, and marks the first glimpse into her highly anticipated upcoming album, ‘Soul Supremacy II.’
Taking to Instagram to share the exciting news, KZ expressed her enthusiasm for the release. “‘Dito Ka Lang’ is a song I wrote for TJ Monterde and also the first song from my newest album ‘Soul Supremacy II’,” she wrote.
The single release was accompanied by a heartwarming music video that featured Andi Abaya and Kobie Brown as the romantic leads, while Brigette Arceo Martin and Ricardo Martin portrayed their older counterparts.
Known for her soulful voice, KZ rose to fame after winning the first season of the reality singing competition ‘The X Factor Philippines’ in 2012. Since then, she has captivated audiences with her powerful performances and heartfelt compositions.
Prior to ‘Dito Ka Lang,’ KZ was recently seen as a coach on the fifth season of ‘The Voice Kids Philippines,’ where she mentored young artist Xai Martinez, who ultimately secured third place in the competition. Her role as a mentor allowed her to share her expertise and passion for music with the next generation of Filipino talent.
In addition to her new single, KZ is set to join the star-studded ‘ALL STAR CONCERT’ organized by Cornerstone Entertainment in the United States next month. The concert series promises to be a spectacular showcase of Filipino talent, featuring performances by Piolo Pascual, Catriona Gray, Sam Milby, Erik Santos, Yeng Constantino, Kyla, Inigo Pascual, Jason Dy, Zephanie, with a special participation of P-pop group VXON.
